What to remember when dealing with other people.

Have you recently been screamed at by your boss? Or given a dirty look by a stranger on the street? Have you recently texted your friend to have him or her not reply till the next day?

These situations can certainly be upsetting.  Oftentimes we may be prone to taking interactions personally.  But, something that might help you be able to cope with these types of situations better is to keep one thing in mind….

We have NO IDEA what other people are going through. EVER.

We are not mind readers, and can never truly know what someone is thinking or feeling unless they have literally told us.  We can never truly know if someone is feeling happy or hopeless.  We can never truly know if someone’s actions are influenced by anger, worry, fear, or uncertainty.

Because of this, the BEST THING you can do for yourself is have patience, awareness, and an open-mindedness for other people in the world.  For EVERYONE in the world.  Most people in the world are dealing with some type of stress, challenge, worry, weakness, and/or hardship.  Because of this, the best response to it all is to be kind and loving towards everyone that you cross paths with.
